In the late 1990’s, she got back into quilting and has not stopped since! She owned Village Quilt Shop, Lodi. She is the creator & author of quilt patterns under the name Creek Side Stitches. Many of these patterns use pre-cuts such as Charm Squares; Mini-Charms and Layer Cakes. She will share ’how to have your cake and make it too!’.

PROGRAM: Gone to the Dark Side...Chris Lynn Kirsch began sewing garments as a child and didn’t discover the joy of quilting until well into adulthood. When she explained this to a groups of garment sewers, the comment to one another “she’s gone to the dark side”. This made her laugh. What made quilting so dark? It also got her thinking about all the garments she had made in the 70’s & 80’s—and still possessed. This is the inspiration for her talk that includes ponchos; bell bottoms; prom dresses and a whole trunk full of quilts that have their roots in the “light” world of garment construction. We will join Chris on this trip down memory lane!

Welcome to Our Quilt Guild

We’re celebrating our birthday! We’re 40 years old this year!

From rookie to veteran, lover of batik, wovens, or flannel, vintage or contemporary, modern or traditional, you’ll find us here.

We learn from each other, share our skills and projects, and work together to serve our community. Friendships are built that last.

Bus trips, retreats, picnics, Christmas parties, work days, workshops — these are all part of the fabric that weave us together.

We’d love to have you join us.
